The Clarion Safety Systems Success Story

Clarion Safety Systems has been in the B2B market for more than 25 years as a designer and manufacturer of product safety labels and signage.

But when they found out the system they’d been using for online sales was no longer going to be supported by their order processing system, they knew they needed to find a new solution.

This was compounded by other underlying issues with the old platform, like poor UX, lacking CTAs, and arduous update processes.

After some initial research, it was decided that the brand would migrate over to BigCommerce. Already, traffic is up 43% YoY.

BigCommerce & SAP Business One Provide Necessary Customization

BigCommerce connected us with Jasper Interactive Studios, as a trusted third-party development agency. They were fantastic.

Within 18 months, we were able to get everything turned around and fully migrated over to BigCommerce, even while we were upgrading our SAP Business One processing system on the back end.

From scoping out the work, to doing research on what to fix, they basically overhauled the code on the site and re-worked all of our integrations.

They helped us build out a number of customizations for the site in line with our business and customers’ needs. They’ve been a fantastic partner to work with.

Improved UX with SearchSpring

Once we switched to BigCommerce, we were able to change up a lot of the navigation within our website thanks to the SearchSpring integration. We replaced the original category structure we had so that customers could easily navigate to fully qualified products.

This was important for us, as we have more than 9,000 SKUs and 75% of our revenue comes through internal site search. Increased functionality on this aspect of our ecommerce operation was a big priority for us, and we’ve been able to achieve that.

SearchSpring has made a huge difference in regard to the overall UX of our website, from search to checkout. And the SearchSpring team was extremely responsive and helpful as we were getting things set up.

Now, everything is more streamlined for our customers. They can take advantage of simplified product navigation and shopping – to quickly and easily find the specific safety label or sign they need.
