Chuck Cassidy
General Counsel
Chuck is BigCommerce’s General Counsel. He has been with BigCommerce since 2017 and has been responsible for legal management of numerous business units and strategic priorities of the organization. He has broad experience representing growth-stage software and technology companies and previously practiced corporate and transactional law at Vinson & Elkins, L.L.P.
Since joining BigCommerce in 2017, Chuck has been involved in a wide range of strategic initiatives, including the company’s initial public offering and subsequent public offerings, global expansion and acquisitions.
Prior to joining BigCommerce, he practiced corporate and transactional law at Vinson & Elkins, L.L.P. where he represented growth-stage software and technology companies, venture capital investors and private equity firms in strategic and commercial transactions and various business matters.
Chuck holds a B.B.A., cum laude, in Real Estate Finance from Southern Methodist University and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where he graduated with high honors and was a member of the Texas Law Review. He currently lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and two children.
